Kentucky Fried Chicken thinks onside the bun for advertising

KFC pays college women for ad space on buns - USATODAY.com

KFC wants folks to watch its backside.
Or, more precisely, the backsides of female college students it's recruiting to promote its hot new bunless Double Down sandwiches.

Women on college campuses are being paid $500 each to hand out coupons while wearing fitted sweatpants with "Double Down" in large letters across their rear ends...

...it's turning to cute women parading around campus with "Double Down" emblazoned across their fannies.
Hey, they ain't the first group to sell stuff like that...and they won't be the last. But you can count on the National Association of Gals to find something to complain about.
..."It's so obnoxious to once again be using women's bodies to sell fundamentally unhealthy products," says Terry O'Neill, president of the National Organization for Women. What's more, she says, KFC has forgotten something important: Women make more than half the decisions about what to eat for dinner.
And if this was the deciding factor between KFC and Subway...I doubt the Colonel would have had the business anyway. And I'm still waiting for the NOW to scream bloody murder about about sexual harassment from Bill Clinton....and they have been strangely silent about the predator ALGORE. Or Harry Reid calling a female Senator it's "hottest member", "We in the Senate refer to Sen. Gillibrand as the hottest member." Gee, do I see a pattern here on their outrage.

Ms O'Neill I have a bit of a different view. If a woman wants to do something and it's not illegal then she can do it. She has a body and more important a brain. If she wants to appear in this (or poise for Playboy) she has that right...I think we call it the right to choose. Maybe you should try that!

As of Tuesday afternoon, KFC had received no complaints about the campaign, KFC spokesman Rick Maynard says. "We've taken a page out of the book of some apparel companies and sororities who have promoted in this way for years," Maynard says.

Good thinking "outside the bun" but having the NAGs protesting outside your cab may scare some clients off. :<)
