I prefer to think of the good ole USA as not being deceased, but, the victim of a "here - hold my beer while I (insert stupid action here)" moment. The "stupid action" being the culmination of voting for all of these career politicians and the "AHSUTWH" (@ss-hole-stinking-up-the-white-house).
