Reserve Deputy Sheriff Mike Roberts and Reserve Deputy Sheriff Tim Lowry were killed when their patrol car was struck head-on by a tractor trailer on State Highway 39.



The deputies were serving warrants as part of the Warrant Team. As they crested a hill they encountered an oversized semi in the roadway. The two vehicles collided, causing both deputies to suffer fatal injuries.


Deputy Lowry is survived by his wife and children.


Deputy Roberts is survived by his wife and children.
