A classic example of why we need Rotation of Office

A few years ago I was speaking with an officer from my old reserve unit on congressmen and he mentioned back in his 20s, right out of college, he was on the staff of a freshman member of the House. And what was this young (early 30s) man’s goal in the Congress? Balance the budget? Secure our border? Reform entitlements? No, his goal in the House, “To become the senior member of the state’s delegation.”

Now we come to Little Johnny Boehner, the despicable piece of s%^& who currently occupies the Speaker’s chair. I was listening to Limbaugh yesterday and he mentioned Johnny’s interview on The Golf Channel. Now Little Johnny was a young congressperson when the Republican Class of 1994 took over the Congress. Unlike the current House Republicans, this one was led by a real leader, Newt Gingrich. And I don’t question Gingrich had person goals, but he also had another goal, to stop the Clinton’s and their move to socialism. And he developed the “Contract with America”, with certain goals. Of note, the contract would require all laws that apply to the rest of the country also apply to Congress; cut the number of House committees, and cut committee staff by one-third: limit the terms of all committee chairs, and; move to a balanced budget.

Many people try to give Bubba Clinton credit for the budget surpluses in the 1990s, he had no intent of bringing the budget under control. In the budget battle of 1995 he proposed one budget after another with 200 billion dollars deficits as far as the eye can see. He finally was forced to bring a plan forward and we did get the budget under control a few years.

But back to Little Johnny. This is the “big issue” right now:

John Boehner's Biggest Problem

RUSH: John Boehner... (chuckles) Folks, we now know. There's no doubt. We now know. The lid has been blown or raised. This is last night on The Golf Channel show Feherty, John Boehner guest hosting with David Feherty, who has a show on The Golf Channel. He's an on-course reporter on CBS for golf tournaments. David Feherty said to Boehner... I want you to turn your radio up. You gotta hear this. This is gonna explain a lot to you. "Is there less partisanship today than there used to be?"

BOEHNER: Twenty years ago when, uh, we won the first Republican majority in 40 years, there was one radio talk show host that nobody'd ever heard of. Uh, there was one cable news channel that just did news. And you look at today, you've got hundreds of radio talk show hosts all trying to outdo themselves, right -- going further right and further right and further right. Uh, you've got all these cable news channels, and all they do are politics, and it's tending to either push or pull people into one of two camps.

Johnny, funny, you must of heard of Rush Limbaugh since the Republican Class of 1994 named themselves the Dittohead Caucus and named Limbaugh an honorary member of the class. Or did you miss that during happy hour? And you say CNN "just did news", man, you've had enough, close out the tab.

RUSH: Okay, now, that's the first. We've got two more sound bites here from Speaker Boehner. He continued with this one...

BOEHNER: If I go down to see President Obama, the right begins to wonder what I'm up to; the left begins to wonder what the president's up to. The president's suggested, "Hey, you think it's too much trouble if we play golf again?" (snickers) And I have to look at him and say, "Yes!" RUSH: So Boehner can't play golf with Obama 'cause of us. He can't play golf because he's afraid talk radio and Fox News are gonna wonder what he's up to and maybe -- well, I don't know, reading his mind -- think that we're gonna say he's selling out or that Obama's doing whatever....

Gee Johnny, how about this. Why don't you retire to K Street and then you can play golf all the time.

But this shows the real problem. Remember what I said about the other freshman remember of the congress earlier.

...BOEHNER: Some people were pushing me to run for the Senate. I decided I didn't want to do that, and I made a decision that the rest of my career was gonna be in the US House. >u>So the team said to me, "All right, well, the rest of your career's gonna be in the House. What's your goal?" I didn't know! So I said, "Well, if you don't shoot for the top (snickers), why shoot for anything?" So I set my goal to be Speaker.

Ok, his goal, to be speaker. Not to balance the budget, reform the government, secure our border, it was to become the Speaker. And he will not leave unless the Democrats take over the house or he dies. Johnny has his retirement job set up if needed (K Street lobbyist) but he will be speaker, crush the Tea Party and make deals. And if he helps the Democrats to push the country over the edge, so be it.

And there is the issue. If we had 12 year term limits he would have already been sent home ten years ago and we would likely not ever have known his life. God, if only.

Johnny, you are completely worthless. Please go away but I know you won't. I can only pray your voters take you out in the primary and barring that, takes one for the team and replaces you with a democrat. Boehner, I've said this more than once, you're not Gingrich. Hell, you don't even rise to Bob Michael. Get the hell out and just go straight to the 19th hole.
