A new definition of Star Trek Geek!

I've read the Klingon version of Shakespeare but this takes it:

TOWN COUNCILMAN RESIGNS IN THE GEEKIEST WAY POSSIBLE

A North Carolina town councilman recently resigned from his position in the geekiest way possible: He presented the mayor with a letter of resignation written entirely in Klingon, the fictional language from the television show “Star Trek.”

David Waddell will be a member of the Indian Trail Town Council until the end of January. He’s resigning because he feels it has failed to live up to his expectations, according to WBTV-TV.

“The past year on the Indian Trail Town Council was filled with more deception, conflict of interest issues, being left in the dark on what’s going on, crony capitalism, runaway development and requests for public information being refused or stonewalled for months,” Waddell said in a statement posted (in English) to his Facebook page.

He specifically noted his frustration over how the council and town manager handled the contract with the sheriff’s office and said such events were too much for him to handle.

So he drafted a letter of resignation — in Klingon — and presented it to the mayor.

Here’s a rough translation of what he wrote, per WBTV: “Teach [the] city [the] constitution I will return next time to [witness] victory. Resignation occurs in 2014 the 31st of January. Perhaps today is a good day (to) resign.”...
I wonder where the council got a translator for the letter?

Thanks Jason H for the link
