Special Deputy Marshal Anthony McGrew died after contracting COVID-19 while on duty at the federal courthouse in the Frank M. Scarlett Federal Building in Brunswick, Georgia.

Special Deputy Marshal McGrew was a U.S. Navy veteran. He had served with the United States 

Marshals Service for two years and had previously served with the Kingsland, Georgia, Police Department for 11 years. He is survived by his wife, three children, and three grandchildren.
