Man tries to steal car full of cops
SHREVEPORT - State Police arrested a man after they said he tried to steal an unmarked police car while three officers were inside.
"He's not one of your smarter ones," Chris Turner with the U.S. Marshals Office told KTBS-TV in Shreveport.
Trooper Matt Harris said yesterday Joshua Adam Carter, 25, of Princeton tried to steal the car while it was stopped at a traffic light on Spring Street in Shreveport. Harris said Carter came up to the car and started pulling the locked door's handle, demanding it be opened.
When Carter realized the car had a State Police detective and two members of the U. S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force inside, Harris said he took off running.
The officers gave chase and caught him without incident...
...Carter was booked into the Shreveport City Jail for attempted carjacking.
