They are more eager to ask ordinary citizens and charity workers than foreign dignitaries and VIPs to what will be the first royal ‘people’s wedding’, courtiers suggested.
A handful of heads of state are likely to be invited in line with previous royal weddings, possibly including France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni.

But the decision to exclude the American premier and his wife Michelle from the celebrations marks a break from tradition.
Prince Charles and Princess Diana invited then-American president Ronald Reagan and his wife Nancy to their 1981 ceremony – though she came alone because the president was too ill to travel following an assassination attempt on him.
A senior courtier said: ‘It is certainly not the case that all foreign heads of state will be excluded. The guest list is still being drawn up and could change, but as things stand it’s right (to say Mr Obama will not be invited).’....
Seeing one of the first things B Hussein Obama did at the beginning of his reign of error was return the bust of Winston Churchill the British gave President George W Bush in the days after 911, it's fair to say they are not exactly fond of him. It's not that he said just put it in another room of the White House but he returned it to the British Embassy. Then the clueless Obama White House gave as gifts to the Royal couple an iPod with TOTUS' speeches and DVDs not formatted for British players...forgive me if I understand why they don't want this city rube to embarrass himself and the Royal family at an important event.
It is payback fitting of the insufferable snub that our arrogant first couple did when they first ascended their thrones.

ReplyDeleteI recently finished reading Woodward’s Obama’s Wars and you get two great impressions from it. One, that White House is completely clueless and disorganized. A little sympathy for the devil, if Obama had a competent White House staff, especially the Chief of Staff, these problems may have been avoided. The other is the lack of personal authority that B Hussein Obama has. He was unsure the Cabinet would execute his orders relating to the Afghanistan war and he personally spent seven hours drafting a memo for the Cabinet detailing what he wants. Talk about clueless…then again he has no record of accomplishment prior to arriving at the White House.
God help the republic! I only pray we outlast this idiot.
