Seattle Police Confrontation

I've looked over this three times and I have the following to say:

1. Good right cross but you could have followed up with a left jab!

2. The man was in legitimate fear for his safety and was justified to use intermediate force, e.g. a punch. He was attempting to arrest someone who was resisting, a third person came into the scene and tried to interfere and he was surrounded by people who at best were noncommittal (in the entire two plus minutes no one offered to help the cop) and may have turned confrontational in a second.

3. Women can be a challenge to take into custody because there is a belief they will not fight back. Bull#$%^! Women can resist and again, this man was quickly facing two.

Now the usual suspects (Urban League, NAACP) are saying this is overreaction but at least the union and for the moment the police brass are backing this man up.

  1. I've said for years I'd rather fight a man than a woman....we are vicious!
