As I sit in my house after a couple of nights of overtime in Houston I’m contemplating weather and temperature. It warmed up over the weekend but is going into a couple of freezes this week. Late last week in the SE Texas area we had two nights of deep freezes and between midnight and 6am on Friday night we had 800 reported accidents. For all you reading when the temperature around here plunges below 65 people are worried about the freeze…we ain’t use to cold. People here cannot drive on ice…some would say we can’t drive period but that’s another point for anther post.
A couple of weeks ago I was watching The Red Eye, FoxNews’ late night satirical look at the news and they showed somethings that kinda disturbed me. The latest website group (you know, they have a web site plus a fax number with ten members quoted pushing a cause and asking for money quoted as absolute truth by the forth estate…Center for Science in the Public Interest anyone?) is 1SKY, a typical sky is falling, global warming, etc, send us money group of leaches needing to justify their existence to themselves.
Now these people put up some kids in a propaganda video saying we’re all going to die because the Congress didn’t push industrial policy aka Cap and Tax, err Trade.
I’m contemplating this crap as B Hussein Obama is cutting off our energy supplies and our leaders are responding not by trying to get our supplies open but telling us to turn down the thermostat and put on a sweater. I don't know what is more screwed up...the fact this group is scaring kids into thinking they have no future or the fact our leaders are strangling our access to energy and killing our industry. How the hell did we ever get this bad off.
