Russia approved a privatization plan for 2011-13 that could produce an additional 1 trillion rubles ($32 billion) for state coffers, the Kremlin said in a statement Dec. 2, RIA Novosti reported. The government will privatize stakes in oil major Rosneft, hydropower generator RusHydro, the Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System, shipping firm Sovcomflot, Sberbank, VTB Bank, the United Grain Company, agricultural leasing company Rosagroleasing and rail monopoly Russian Railways.Source: www.stratfor.com
I recall a cartoon from 1992 (?) showing two similar dressed men sitting at a desk. The left panel showed a man identified as a Communist Party Official who said "Communism works because it makes full use of it's resources...". The right panel showed an American college professor who said "Communism works because it makes full use of it's resources...". Now what's the difference? The guy on the right still has a job.
