I'm sorry but the escalator doesn't need to be checked....

The moron who tried to act stupid needed to get his head out of his ass first.

I'm sorry this young man died but it by no fault of the escalator, the company that built it, the company that build the Texans stadium, the Texans, the City of Houston, State of Texas or anything else. I'm listing the entities that will probably get sued over this.

Reliant Stadium checking escalators after man's fatal fall

Reliant Stadium staff will review safety procedures and inspect escalators after a 25-year-old man fell to his death Thursday while apparently horsing around on an escalator at the Texans' last preseason game.

Jonathan Kelly allegedly was trying to slide down the outside of the escalator handrail at the Coca-Cola Gate near the stadium's northeast side.

He was descending from level five to level three when he fell about 60 feet, Mark Miller, general manager at SMG Reliant Park, said during a news conference Friday.

Miller said he didn't have details about what Kelly was doing before he fell abut 8:10 p.m. because the incident was still under investigation.

Police could not confirm the man was horse-playing, said Jodi Silva, a Houston Police Department spokeswoman. Silva said HPD was investigating the case as an accidental death....

Sorry, but the man is dead because of his own foolish actions. He shouldn't have been screwing around on a slide sixty feet from the ground.
