From the comments in Survive the Streets:
One of the biggest complaints we get is that we don't show enough videos of female officers. In this video, we see a POS emerge from a vehicle, which had been stopped for running a stop sign, with an AK-47. Officer Erin Thomas was standing outside the vehicle about to make her approach. Her FTO, Officer Brandon Savage, was seated in the driver's seat. The suspect began firing a barrage of 33 rounds from his weapon. Officer Thomas was wounded in the hand and thigh, but continued to press the fight. Officer Savage was wounded by shrapnel in the leg, but contiued to fire. The officers struck the POS nineteen times with gunfire. Nine of the hits were fired by Savage, and ten were fired by Thomas. The POS died at the scene.
Although the motive was unknown, I personally believe that these #wolfhunters prevented a mass-casualty incident. Inside the vehicle, investigators found a mask, gloves, cans of gunpowder, eight additional magazines, and literature on making homemade explosives. These officers exemplified the very definition of what it means to be a #wolfhunter. Their proactive, aggressive actions that day not only kept the wolf from the flock, but took the fight to the wolf before he had his chance. Catch them BEFORE they act. Hunt them down and bring them to justice BEFORE they kill. That is what it means to be a wolfhunter. Killing or shooting the suspect has nothing to do with that title. It's all about being proactive.
I was unable to find if these heroes returned to duty or not, but all indications were that they both intended to do so. If anyone knows me know, please. Great job saving lives, Officers!
Excellent work offers. Be safe out there. Glad you got our back.
