A new cop show

For the most part I don't really care for recent cop tv shows. There is willing suspension of disbelief, but when The Closer has the deputy chief of the second largest city in the country actually investigating crimes, as opposed to doing those things chiefs do, i.e. beg the state/feds for money, defend the city against race accusations from the local race baiting poverty pimps (or if you lucky, you can get the Justice Brothers themselves, Al and Jesse), etc when I really can't take it. I loved Adam 12, earlier episodes of Law and Order and NYPD Blue. Of course the most accurate of all TV shows is Barney Miller. Every office has a Fish or Wojo!
