Growing up one of the few things any Saints fan could count on was our place kicker, Morten Andersen. Known as The Great Dane or Mr. Automatic, teams knew there was little chance of running out a ball on a kickoff because he always shot it 5 yards deep into the end zone. And this was before the league moved the kickoff point to the 35 yard line.
In his career he became the all time leading scorer in league history and a truly great man. Congrats Morton, talk about a man who deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
Here are some of his career highlights.
