High speed chase in Missouri....

This is incredible...suspect in high speed chase led the cops over 20 minutes on the highway at one point with a blown tire. Officer keeps up, calls out calmly while under fire from an AK-47. Damned good work officer!

Gunman caught

Police have gunman Cody Wilcoxson, 31, in custody.

He was captured in Rolla after the vehicle he was driving was reported seen on Highway 63.

Radio traffic indicates Wilcoxon has injuries to his hand and arm, including a gunshot wound.

Wilcoxon started off trying to gain access Thursday morning to military base Fort Leonard Wood, located in Pulaski County.

He was unsuccessful in his attempt, and started a police pursuit that led to Rolla, where Wilcoxson was lost on the Missouri S&T campus after crashing his vehicle on the campus and fleeing on foot.

He reportedly stole another vehicle and took off again, renewing police efforts to locate him....

Hopefully he was severely arrested
